We are very confident of ANC victory in Eastern Cape: Ramaphosa

African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa says he is confident the party will secure a resounding victory in the municipalities of the Eastern Cape in the upcoming Local Government Elections.

This comes amid internal divisions within the party in the province, with some disputes ending up in court.

Ramaphosa was in Mdantsane where he conducted door-to-door visits and engaged with community members.

“This is an ANC province; it’s going to be huge. It lifts our numbers nationally together with other provinces. So, we are very, very confident of a victory in the Eastern Cape. The frustrations for the elections are now behind us and we are charging forward.”
