Ramaphosa says municipal councils must ensure that investments translate into tangible benefits for communities.
“ANC councils will increase procurement from local businesses and expand public employment. We want our municipalities to also focus on creating jobs, creating a good climate and an environment for investors to come and invest money at a local level. They invest it in our towns and metros and in our cities. That is why we are strengthening our local government and giving them a clear mandate that they must create an environment for investors to come.”
