Juju Valley residents divided as Polokwane declared hung council

Some residents in Juju Valley, Polokwane, have expressed different views after the Polokwane municipality was declared a hung council following the local government elections.
Limpopo now has a total of 10 hung municipalities.
Polokwane is one of the municipalities where no party secured an outright majority.
Residents say they are hopeful that a coalition council will translate into improved delivery of services.
Meanwhile, residents at Extension 76 in Polokwane also say they want service delivery to reach them.
Resident says, “As a resident, I am happy with the fact that the municipality is now hung. I am also happy that we went out to vote and demonstrated that we genuinely need service delivery. We do not have water. We are honestly not proud of the conditions in which we live. We want communities where our children can grow up and live peacefully. What I am expecting from them as the voters and the resident of the local municipality wards in different places. We need development.”
