ANC has proven its commitment to fighting corruption: Ramaphosa

ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says the party has proven its commitment to fighting corruption in its ranks and the country’s institutions. He was addressing party members and supporters at its Manifesto launch in Dieplsoot in northern Johannesburg.
Ramaphosa says the ANC has taken action against corruption and patronage through measures such as the step-aside resolution and the strengthening of the integrity commission. He further added that establishing the Madlanga Commission was a result of the ANC-led government.
The party launched its manifesto ahead of the local government elections in November, which is less than 100 days away.
Ramaphosa said, “The ANC-led government continues to rebuild law enforcement and anti-corruption institutions to bring state capture and corruption cases before the courts, and it is the state, the ANC-led government, that has instituted the Madlanga Commission, which is now showing us what has been happening in the police service, and after that commission, we are going to clean up so that the corrupt activities that have been embarked upon are brought to an end.”
