About the party
The Shosholoza Progressive Party (SPP) was established in 2015 under the leadership of Dr Raynauld Russon. The party advocates for a community-based cooperative model for local service delivery and job creation, proposing community-run approaches to manage tasks like waste removal and infrastructure. The party took part in the 2021 local government elections but failed to make any significant impact.
