Engaging communities key in fixing NMB’s issues: UDM

The UDM’s newly unveiled mayoral candidate in Nelson Mandela Bay, Mandla Peter says engaging communities will be a key strategy to addressing the high crime rates and service delivery challenges in the metro.

Peter, who is the party’s provincial leader in the Eastern Cape, has been announced by party leader Bantu Holomisa in Gqeberha as its mayoral candidate ahead of the November 4th local government elections.

Peter says the party wants to build the metro with residents, urging voters to support the UDM at the polls.

“The UDM has got another plan to engage with the community, to have an engagement with the stakeholders. The challenges of Nelson Mandela Bay need stakeholder engagement. UDM is basically focusing on the challenges of stakeholder because the challenges needs its own citizens.”
