ACM to contest in six Free State municipalities: Motsoeneng

African Content Movement (ACM) leader Hlaudi Motsoeneng says his party will contest in six municipalities under the Thabo Mofutsanyana District Municipality in the Free State in upcoming local government elections.
Motsoeneng has stated that while he aims for the ACM to win control of these local councils to address historical service delivery backlogs, he wants to prioritise addressing high unemployment in South Africa.

“All municipalities falling under Thabo Mofutsanyane in number, they are six. It’s Mantsopa, Setsoto, Phumelela, Dihlabeng, Maluti-a-Phofung, and Nketoana. I am also contesting the district itself. What’s more important for people of Maluti-a-Phofung, Thabo Mofutsanyane generally, all the factories were working in Maluti-a-Phofung. Now, they are white elephants, ” he says.
Motsoeneng says he wants to make sure that the party deals with unemployment.
“If we deal with unemployment, we deal with crime because the cause of crime is partly people who are not working,” he adds.
