MKP sacks Nomvalo from Secretary-General role

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has removed its Secretary-General, Sibonelo Nomvalo, from his position less than two weeks before the November 4 local government elections.
In a statement, MKP says Nomvalo was relieved of his duties amid concerns over the councillor selection process, delays in the distribution of campaign materials and the establishment of what it describes as a high-level deployment committee without the knowledge of the party leadership.
Deputy Secretary-General Lindiwe Mtshali has been appointed to act in the position in consultation with National Chairperson Mxolisi Phakathi.
