Speaking on the sidelines of the DA mass rally at Nasrec, south of Johannesburg during her campaign for the municipal elections, Zille has emphasised that voters in the City of Johannesburg face a critical choice in the upcoming election.

“My main message to the residents of Johannesburg is that this city can be stopped from going down the path of complete collapse. We can through our political choices to turn it around and it’s now or never. On the forth of November they can decide to fix their city or allow it to collapse entirely that’s the choice they have. They should ask themselves which party has the track record, the experience, the people, the policies to turn joburg around if voters give us an unplayable hand it will be their choice we’ve done everything we can to present them with an alternative choice.”
