Founded by Petrus Van Der Westhuizen on September 5, 2005, the African Christian Alliance (Afrikaner Christen Alliansie) is built on Christian nationalism, social conservatism, and Afrikaner self-determination. The party peaked during the 2006 municipal elections, winning a proportional representation seat each in the Tshwane Metro and Madibeng Local Municipality. However, support collapsed in 2011, and the ACA was completely marginalized by the 2021 elections, where it won zero seats across all councils.
