About the party
The African Spear Movement (ASM) was officially launched on December 6, 2025, in the North West Province by Tebogo "Shishi" Ramashilabele, a former ANC member and Speaker of the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality. The party's platform and ideology revolve around a regionalist stance, defining itself as a party "for the North West, by the North West." The ASM aligns its vision with the guidance of traditional leaders (Dikgosi), as highlighted by its slogan, "Tlotla Bogosi, Tlotla Lefatshe" (Respect Chieftaincy, Respect the Land). The November poll will be the party's electoral debut.
