About the party
The Sedibeng Emfuleni Resident Association (SERA) was formed in August 2026 to contest the local government elections on November 4 in the Sedibeng District Municipality, including the Emfuleni, Midvaal and Lesedi local municipalities. Led by Abram Motau, SERA was formed as an alternative platform for residents frustrated by service delivery failures and political party imposition, allowing communities to directly elect chosen leaders.
