The Economic Liberators Forum South Africa (ELF-SA) operated with minimal public presence from its inception in 2015 before making its political debut in the 2024 national and provincial elections. The party, led by Hulisani Mani, is well-known for its high-profile legal battles with the IEC and the EFF regarding its registration, name, and branding. A month before voting day, the EFL-SA merged with the Party of Action (POA), thereby securing its spot on the ballot. However, it failed to win a single seat in the provincial legislature or Parliament. The November 4 local poll will be the ELF-SA's debut municipal election.
