About the party
The Bumbana Mzansi (B.M) party was launched in September 2026 in Sweetwaters, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, by former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) district councillor Mike Branches. The party focuses on creating jobs and economic opportunities for local South Africans. The movement positions itself as a grassroots alternative to major political parties, targeting voter frustration regarding service delivery failures. The November 4 municipal election will be Bumbana Mzansi's debit election.
