ANC Limpopo confident of retaining control of all municipalities

The ANC in Limpopo says it is confident that it will retain its grip on the 22 municipalities and five district municipalities in the province.
In the previous local government elections, the party lost full control of Modimolle-Mookgophong and Thabazimbi municipalities, which have hung councils.
Party spokesperson Ernest Rachoene says their campaigns have been successful.
Rachoene was speaking at the ANC provincial rally at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, where party president Cyril Ramaphosa will be addressing supporters.
“As the ANC in Limpopo, we have done all that it takes for the past four months. We have knocked on the doors of our people; we have spoken to them, and we have agreed in principle that we are going to be given another chance, so from where we are standing now we are very comfortable that, come the 4th of November, we are going to come out victorious. We are going to retain all our 22 local and five districts.”
