With all the votes captured in Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape, the DA has increased its lead over the ANC by 19 percentage points.

Although not by an outright majority, the DA won the vote in the province’s biggest metro with 44%.

The DA has now increased its representation to 53 seats, while the ANC has lost 16 seats, dropping to 32.

The EFF has seven seats, one fewer than in the previous council. The SACP, contesting separately for the first time in the metro, has secured four seats, matching the PA, which has also doubled its representation from two seats. Other parties securing representation include the FF+ and UDM with three seats each.
