IEC in Mpumalanga to launch its results centre in White River

The Mpumalanga Electoral Commission will launch its provincial Results Operation Centre (ROC) in White River on Friday, ahead of the 2026 local government elections.

The Mpumalanga province has more than 2.1 million registered voters across 408 wards.

A total of 84 political parties and 43 independent candidates are contesting the elections in the province.

The Results Operation Centre will serve as the nerve centre for the coordination, monitoring and capturing of election results across the province.

The IEC says the centre will play a critical role in ensuring an efficient, transparent and credible results management process.
