With 58% of the voting districts declared in Limpopo, Floyd Shivambu’s Afrika Mayibuye Movement (AMM) has made inroads in the Greater Giyani and Collins Chabane councils.

Shivambu co-founded the EFF in 2013 and served in various senior roles for more than a decade.

He resigned in 2024 and briefly joined the MK Party before starting the AMM late last year.

In Shivambu’s home province of Limpopo, the AMM is the second largest party in Greater Giyani and Collins Chabane, with 18% and 14% of the vote respectively.

The ANC is dominating Giyani at 59% and Collins Chabane at 65%. The EFF is currently in third place with around 5% of the vote.
