About the party
The African Movement Congress (AMC) was established on October 10, 2023, by Durban businessman and philanthropist, Roy Moodley. The party’s core principles are built around community-driven decisions, using the policy “nothing about us, without us” In its debut election in 2024, the party failed to secure a significant portion of electoral support, or any parliamentary or provincial seats. The November 4 poll will be the AMC's debut municipal election.
