About the party
Following a split from the National Freedom Party, the African People’s Movement (APEMO) was formed by former NFP chairperson, Vikizitha Mlotshwa on April 15, 2021. The party called for the support of dagga farming as a means for rural women to support themselves. In the 2021 local government elections, the APM won six seats in the Okhahlamba Local Municipality.
