About the party

The Bophuthatswana Civil Movement (BCM) began as an online civic initiative launched by leader Kagiso Monyadiwa in early 2014/2026 before being officially registered as a national political party by the IEC on July 3, 2026. The BCM is primarily active in the North West Province and draws heavy symbolic inspiration from the legacy of the apartheid-era former Bophuthatswana homeland under Chief Lucas Mangope. The movement promotes a strong sense of ethnic and cultural identity, explicitly urging the Batswana people of Bokone Bophirima to unite.
