About the party
Founded on 15 November 2022, the United Africans Transformation (UAT) is an African nationalist and socialist party led by Dr Wonder Mahlatsi. Its core policies include land expropriation without compensation, food security, free education, job creation, and radical economic empowerment. In the 2024 general election, UAT won one seat in the National Assembly and another in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. Although it initially joined the Government of National Unity (GNU), the party withdrew in July 2024 after being excluded from ministerial and parliamentary chairperson positions. The November 2026 local polls will mark UAT's first municipal election.
