The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) say they are hopeful their campaigning efforts will pay off come election day on November 4th.

Speaking in Sandton, Gauteng EFF Treasurer-General Omphile Maotwe says as the party nears the end of their 2026 local government campaign, they are confident they have resonated with the people on the ground.

Maotwe was speaking at the EFF’s final central elections task force meeting as the party prepares for their final rally at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

“We are now going to Orlando Stadium on Saturday. So on Saturday you must not miss the opportunity of joining the very big movement that is going to mark the end to the local government election campaign. So, there are two things happening on Saturday. It is the EFF’s rally, Tshela Thupa rally and the Derby rally. So, the Derby will proceed around 3 o’clock there at Orlando. We start first with the commander-in-chief giving us a message, the last message to the people of South Africa before we go to the votes on the 2nd, the 3rd and the 4th,” Maotwe elaborates.
