A prominent retired constitutional lawyer, John Price, says he is confident parties and individuals elected to lead municipalities after the Local Government Election will prioritise the needs of the citizens, including improvement in service delivery.

96-year-old Price and his wife, Jennifer, are some of the senior citizens who cast their votes during the first day of special voting at Waterkloof Marina Retirement Estate in Pretoria.

He says they are is excited to cast their votes.

“The Constitution we now have contains both the elements of a democratic society. I hope, can be improved by government.
