Adams encourages voters to use ballots to drive change

National Coloured Congress leader Fadiel Adams has urged citizens to recognise that local government is where the day-to-day decisions affecting their lives are made.
He was speaking to SABC News in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town.
Adams has urged South Africans to vote for the changes they would want to experience in their respective communities.
“You know the most misunderstood part of local government elections is that people don’t understand that is where the actual power is, where the day-to-day decisions that affect their lives are made, and that is why there’s such a low turnout generally. So, we’re appealing to our communities to come out – come out in your numbers and vote for the changes that you want to see. You know, vote against the complaints that you make daily.”
