Coalitions will remain in Rustenburg Municipality’s future: Sapa

The South African Political Association (Sapa) says coalitions will remain the Rustenburg Local Municipality’s future, as they have been in the past 10 years.
They are part of the ongoing discussions with eight other parties about working together in councils in the Rustenburg Municipality and other local municipalities in the Bojanala, after the Local Government Elections (LGE).
Sapa leader Sello Moraka says, ” Coalition politics are the future; we tried to give a party absolute power to run the country and we know what that party did with the power. The citizens felt that the power is misplaced hence the introduction of coalition politics.”
African Economic Transformers (AET) leader Kekeletso Mafethe says the party will ensure transparency in its agreements.
Mafethe says, “You must be open to each other; don’t discuss anything behind the back of other parties. Those are the issues that cause the disagreements and fights within the coalition.”
